Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon is a leading advocate in the movement for sexual and reproductive freedom for all Oregonians. As the statewide advocacy and political voice for Oregon’s two Planned Parenthood affiliates — Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette and Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon — we engage in educational campaigns, grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy and other activities to champion people’s reproductive rights and make health care accessible and affordable.

We defend the Planned
Parenthood mission by:

Advocating for public policy that will enhance and protect reproductive health care, sex education and health care access.

Building support and accountability for reproductive rights among elected officials in Oregon.

Working with coalition partners to reduce health care disparities within our state and build a more equitable society, where everyone has access to care regardless of location, income, immigration status, race, gender or sexual identity.

Engaging and motivating the public to join the fight for reproductive freedom.

In 2002, we formed Planned Parenthood PAC of Oregon, a statewide, nonpartisan political action committee that supports pro-reproductive health candidates for office.

Planned Parenthood PAC of Oregon works to elect state and local candidates who:

  • Consistently champion, craft and advance policies that ensure sexual and reproductive health care is affordable and accessible.

  • Seek to enhance and protect access to abortion, birth control and medically accurate sex education.
