she/her/hers

An comes to Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon after directing communications for No Cuts to Care, the campaign that defeated the anti-abortion Ballot Measure 106. In addition to having extensive private-sector experience in business development, recruiting and operations, An has worked in direct services as a social worker. She holds a master’s degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in English from University of California at Berkeley. An has volunteered as a Planned Parenthood clinic escort, as a PPAO Legislative Fellow, as a PPAO Policy Fellow and as a member of the Multnomah County Leadership & Advocacy Team. Outside the office, she can often be found plotting near and far-flung adventures by plane, van and motorcycle; sampling the prodigious Portland food scene; and spending time with her pup.

Jimmy comes to Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon after 20-plus years in the media, dating back to his high school newspaper in Salem and his college newspaper at Pepperdine University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He has written and edited for Salem’s Statesman Journal, The Portland Mercury, Portland Family, The Skanner and Just Out, and his work has earned a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. In his spare time, he’s a pop-culture junkie and amateur storyteller.

Lindsey began her work with PPAO as a 2017 Legislative Fellow, and is thrilled to develop her passion for community building and reproductive justice on the field team. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bennington College, where she studied Political Economics and Environmental Studies. Her previous experience as an activist and organizer focused on environmental advocacy, from marching in the 2014 People’s Climate March in New York City, to community art-builds in New Orleans. In her free time, Lindsey bikes around Portland, liberally adds books to her bedside reading stack and enjoys any opportunity to explore the outdoors.

BECCA HILL, FIELD ORGANIZER

they/them/theirs

A graduate of Lane Community College, Becca split their time at school between studying and learning to organize in their community, first as an intern with the Oregon Student Association, and later as Vice President of Associated Students of LCC. Becca has focused their advocacy in the past mainly on higher education accessibility and LGBT+ student rights. They are excited for the opportunity to be in the fight for justice at PPAO, and to build new leaders and community power. In their free time, they spend time with their fiancé and chosen family, and have an unquenchable thirst for nonfiction reading. Becca proudly identifies as a queer, trans, non-binary person.
